Good Morning Stork. You know, this whole thing about wearing or not wearing slacks has put me in a reflective mood. I can honestly say the last time I wore slacks was when I graduated from junior high school in June of 1970. My father insisted I look nice. He even bought me a suit, that I only wore once. Slacks - I do like to say the word however.

OED on slacks:

5. plural. Trousers. Now spec. loosely-cut trousers for informal wear, esp. those worn by women.

Trousers:

2.
a. An outer garment covering the body from the waist to the ankles, with a separate part for each leg; (originally) a loose-fitting cloth garment of this type worn by men, sometimes over close-fitting breeches or drawers; (now more generally) any of various garments of this type worn by either sex (though traditionally more closely associated with men). Frequently in a pair of trousers.

Pants:

Formerly: †a trouser leg; = pantleg n. (obsolete). Now (originally U.S.): a pair of trousers; = pants n. 1a.
In current sense chiefly used in the retail clothing industry.

Greetings Stork and patrons. I managed to unclog a sink, which required taking apart stuff, then putting all back together without making a big mess or introducing a leak. With my skills, that was close to miraculous (but took a long time)

Knott's Berry Farm went through a typical Southern California evolution: 1) An real berry farm. 2) A imaginary 'Old West' main street with staged gun battles and fried chicken. 3) An unwieldy amusement park trying to square it's shoulders with Disneyland, which was nearby. Camp Snoopy will never replace Mister Toads Wild Ride.

@Franco, for some reason I never connected you to the voice on Marty’s show until last night. I don’t know why not, except that I can’t catch Marty’s show too often. Is that an L.A. accent? I don’t know much about L.A.

Ahhh, fascinating @Franco. I had been wondering if there was any vocal exaggeration there. I had oddly envisioned your voice as being deep and august, but in a fun way, so maybe that’s why I didn’t realize it was you before.

As for drinking, if I go out w/ladies from dating apps, often they’re drinkers, and I’ve found they often don’t like people who don’t drink. I tried to have a “hard” grapefruit kombucha w/a woman the other day and spent quite a bit of time in the bathroom late that night. Not fun.
