	🥁 5:13pm Discotech Underground: Candy-Where I am in FL it's near the coast so while it's hot it is also almost always slightly breezy, so that helps. I talked to my daughter and Muffinhead both who are back in Michigan and they said it has been hot but not as hot as was predicted.

	🥁 5:19pm Discotech Underground: My Grandmother used to love to tell the story of when I was a kid and we went to her house for her birthday and I asked "how old are you" and she said "I'm 39" (in reality, probably mid 50's) When we went back next year, I asked her again how old she was, and she said "I'm 39". I said "but you were 39 last year, grandma, so that means you're 40". She said, "allright"....

	🥁 5:34pm Discotech Underground: Mom-I managed to do three shows from here last week...the BPN fill in and both my regular Thursday show and the "After Dark" fill in. It does help to take my mind off the other stuff.
	🥁 5:35pm MOM WHIG: Hi there SOP's My Mom was in Hospice for 11 days - AND THAT WAS TOUGH & MY SISTER AT THE SAME TIME IN HER HOME FOR HOSPICE
	🥁 5:35pm WLSClark: Kip, if you have any questions for her, NOW is the time. I asked MANY and got great info on genealogy her last year, but now have about 50 times that amount of questions to ask.
	🥁 5:35pm Discotech Underground: Mom-She has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, today is her first day in hospice. The move from the hospital was very painful for her so they medicated her heavily once she got there.

	🥁 6:31pm Discotech Underground: In Cassopolis, Michigan, someone restored an old Sinclair station and they use it as a rental hall for weddings, receptions, etc.

	6:41pm neveract: When I was a kid I got attached to Sinclair's Dino mascot. When Sinclair was sold off to some other oil company they ran commercials showing Dino slinking off into the horizon, looking over his shoulder. I cried over that for a few days..lol.

	🥁 6:43pm Discotech Underground: Neveract-Yeah, Sinclair sold out to Atlantic Richfield in 1973 and they ditched the Dino logo. They still have actual Sinclair stations out in the plains states, though. I hit one just over the Indiana/Kentucky line south of Evansville and loaded up on Sinclair swag!

	🥁 6:48pm Discotech Underground: Clark-They have them west of the Mississippi to just over the Rocky Mountain range. The one in Kentucky is an outlier but a pleasant surprise.

	🥁 6:49pm Discotech Underground: Even though I don't collect gas memorabilia any longer, I still appreciate the history and seeing the ruins of an old timey station along what used to be the highways before the interstates came in. Mom-The station in KY has a big DINO by the road.

It wasn't uncommon for patients to come in, having been given only a few days, and literally walk out and have a few good weeks to months of life to share with their family and friends. Hospice can be very good at stabilizing patients. I'll be thinking about you and your mom. And thank you again for an amazing show; I know it's a lot of work. You're a radio reference standard in my book!

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

	🥁 5:35pm Discotech Underground: Mom-She has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, today is her first day in hospice. The move from the hospital was very painful for her so they medicated her heavily once she got there.

	6:41pm neveract: When I was a kid I got attached to Sinclair's Dino mascot. When Sinclair was sold off to some other oil company they ran commercials showing Dino slinking off into the horizon, looking over his shoulder. I cried over that for a few days..lol.

	🥁 6:43pm Discotech Underground: Neveract-Yeah, Sinclair sold out to Atlantic Richfield in 1973 and they ditched the Dino logo. They still have actual Sinclair stations out in the plains states, though. I hit one just over the Indiana/Kentucky line south of Evansville and loaded up on Sinclair swag!

It wasn't uncommon for patients to come in, having been given only a few days, and literally walk out and have a few good weeks to months of life to share with their family and friends. Hospice can be very good at stabilizing patients. I'll be thinking about you and your mom. And thank you again for an amazing show; I know it's a lot of work. You're a radio reference standard in my book!
