Good Hello!

Hey Aitch and Austin!
I was actually able to put together a whole show of Mel Blanc, since he recorded so much stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm
Austin Rich:

I imagine you could do a couple, considering. That guy was EVERYWHERE.

Otis:

I am interested in the future... Hi SB and Stophitters.

Hi Space Brother Greg, Austin, Aitch! Looking forward to the show!😊

That was a bit of a hard turn, in that commercial!

Hi John, RBG, Austin, Aitch, SB... and you comin' on through the door. Moving into the kitchen now to stew up some grub. Tuned!

I really think the Big Bear tourist board should resurrect this song.

One of my favorite songs about California.

John R:

I read Mr Blanc’s autobiography. When he was recoding The Fintstones, he nearly died in a car accident and wa in a coma. The doctor got him out of it of coma (after calling his name , with no response) was he to asked to speak to Bugs Bunny . Mel responded in voice of Bugs Bunny. And the doctor went through a lot of his characters. It took he about 6 months to recover and did a lot of the Flintstone recordings that year in a traction.

An amazing talent.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:14pm
Austin Rich:

I found the sort of real-life "satire" of Warner Bros. to be more relatable than the Disney alternatives.

Save for the Pluto toons. Those seemed really good.
Avatar 5:15pm
spacebrother:

@ John - I read about that when I was prepping for the show. Amazing story.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm
Austin Rich:

You get the impression that Mel Blanc probably didn't know anything about hard drugs, based on these PSAs.
Avatar 5:16pm
spacebrother:

"Uh Dee...Uh Dee...Uh DOWNERS."
  5:18pm
John R:

SGB: 😁
Avatar 5:18pm
spacebrother:

@ Austin - Agreed. My theory was that the WB animators were drunk all the time and had no supervision, and those at Disney were on psychedelics and closely monitored.
Avatar 5:19pm
spacebrother:

Not REALLY, just my imagination based on the results.

Spacebrother, ahoy! What a great idea, a tribute to a legend. “Daffy Duck's Rhapsody” is a frikken masterpiece.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19pm

There was some real anarchy happening at WB.

Christmas music all year ‘round! I think it was Austin who said that there really was a weekly Christmas music show on his old

Wow, there was definitely stuff above I hadn't read or imagined. Though Fantasia definitely always struck me as psychedelic. I found The Sorcerer's Apprentice rather nightmarish!

Avatar 6:03pm

Hey Ellen - Yeah, a lot of that Disney stuff was psychedelic. You should check out the unfinished project (finished a few years ago) that Salvador Dali worked on with Disney. I think it was called "Destino."
