This month, we're talking about home -- what home means to you, homes you've lived in, homes you dream of, and whatever else you think about when you think about home. Join the mix - Call in live during the show at 201-209-9368, or send a voice memo in advance at tourism@wfmu.org.
Wed. Apr 23rd, 9pm - Midnight:
Live with Old Maybe
(More info...)
Old Maybe -- the brainchild of Jazz Adam -- recently released their album The Whiff on indie label People's Coalition of Tandy. It's been eight years since their last album, and since then, they've been plugging away, evolving their sound, moving from Philly to NYC and playing lots of shows around the NYC underground scene. Blunt, joyous, irreverent, personal, uncompromising... these are just SOME of the words you might use to describe Old Maybe's music -- make up your own by tuning in live on Wednesday night! As they sing on "The Whiff," "I woke up and thanked god I chose violence" -- LETS GO.
whew! finally got logged in; apparently all my PWs and user names were wiped out across the board!!and here i am half an hour later i really MUST find out what that vocal piece was at the top of the hour; it's one of my favorites and i can NEVER catch the title or performers.. TIA
