	9:26pm HyperDose: Built my current computer in 2017 right before the thread ripper CPUs came out, so an upgrade is needed. Taking the minimalist approach and not overdoing it gear-wise. Moreso focusing on cabling and signal flow instead of outboard gear so I can get the new PC sooner.

	10:06pm Scott67: Most people who's feet are shaped by shoes their whole life, suffer a bent or stunted big toe. My next toe is level with a slightly curved big toe. My little toe is totally bent from growing in shoes. We make our feet fit shoes, not shoes that fit natural feet.
	👻 10:08pm Austin Rich: This hour was part of a show that I was preparing / testing out to take on the road, in the Spring of 2020, as the opening act with Negativland. I was going to have the accompanying "studio" recordings to be released on a candle, like the catholic saint candles. But... well... something happening in March of 2020 that sort of scuttled that tour. So it became part of this podcast that I worked on in 2020. It's nice to give it another chance, here.
	👻 10:10pm Austin Rich: @Scott67: My feet are a little "wider" than the average US shoe size, so I usually have to go a half or full size larger, just to accommodate the extra width. And, therefore: have a lot of dead air space at the front of my shoes, usually.

	10:12pm coelacanth∅: i knew a cat who never wore shoes.walking around the planet (coincidentally had an oz accent, though he refused to disclose his origins. he was "from everywhere") he was in town for most of 1 summer. no shoes. his feet were not too big for shoes, but they were disproportionally big for his size -i believe from having the freedom to spread out.

	👻 10:13pm Austin Rich: It wasn't completely ready for public consumption, and I had to grind the plans all down to a halt when it was clear I wasn't going anywhere. @Aitch: I've been trying to teach myself to play keyboards "better" starting around the end of 2019, when I got a nice M-Audio controller from a friend for free. It's been a nice excuse to hammer out little ditties like these, to practice what it's like to make songs with midi, etc.

	👻 10:54pm Austin Rich: Yeah, I played all the synths "live," and in some cases, did second passes. (But usually just "one" take.) Then I would do a "little" editing and massaging, to get them to work for the flow of the show.

The University staff discouraged me from spinning "Download" by Skinny Puppy so I spun it many many times after that little intervention. Ha ha! I also did MOOG POWER HOUR in Asheville on WNCW. A combination of collage, new experimental records and other bits and bobs, Mid-Valley Mutations is a tour through the mind of Austin Rich, who has been broadcasting in some form since 1998. Heavily influenced by Dr Demento, Don Joyce and old fashioned College Radio, Austin creates Audio Essays on a variety of subjects, and even just plays records, from time to time. Sometimes Live music and Interviews will grace the program, helping create a situation where you don't really know what you're going to hear, when you tune in. What you need to know is when you enter the Mid-Valley region, be prepared for the Musical Mutations... in whatever form they take.
