Toronto police killed a 27 year old who was seen outside a school w/ a pellet gun a few days ago... At first it was believed to be a rifle, the fact that it was a bb gun did not come to light until later. The school had gone into lockdown. This was 2 days after the Texas incident. Yes, the Creepers cover is wonderful. I was lucky to have a friend doing a show on FMU my freshman year at Upsala and he loved Eno. He used Hear Come the Warm Jets as his outro song each week. His theme song at the start was Bonzo Dog Band's Intro & the Outro.

@Julie: John Morris. He introduced me to the station after we met in the cafeteria. Had no idea there was a radio station in the basement of our dorm. He was only on until 82/83, I think.

Marc Riley's show on the BBC (on 6music) is fantastic. He carries on a lot of the traditions of John Peel, including amazing radio sessions with up & coming bands that instantly become your favourites thereafter.

The day Syd Barrett died was the last time I went to CBGB. One of the groups playing was Anderson Council, who derived their name from the surnames of Pink Anderson and Floyd Council (just as Syd's group derived their name from the first names).
