	5:43pm fredr: Sounds like the Warlocks, I mean early Dead!
	🥁 5:44pm Discotech Underground: Fredr-The Dead had several originals in their arsenal around this time but for some reason went with a number of covers on that first album. I hope they someday do an expanded version of this LP and include some of those lost gems.
	🥁 5:46pm Discotech Underground: Chili-I've been by the old Grande building several times. They're trying to sell it now for a cool four million....good luck with that.

	🥁 6:18pm vanhooserd: I was playing a Stan Kenton LP when I remembered your show was on. It was recorded in the Rendevous Ballroom at Balboa Beach where Dick Dale was the big thing a few years later. Kenton gets loud but isn't really my thing, although I got the record for 99 cents.
	🥁 6:19pm Discotech Underground: Van-Actually, I like some Stan Kenton stuff, but I have to be in the right mood for it. And yes, it can usually be found pretty cheaply!

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

	🥁 5:44pm Discotech Underground: Fredr-The Dead had several originals in their arsenal around this time but for some reason went with a number of covers on that first album. I hope they someday do an expanded version of this LP and include some of those lost gems.

	🥁 6:18pm vanhooserd: I was playing a Stan Kenton LP when I remembered your show was on. It was recorded in the Rendevous Ballroom at Balboa Beach where Dick Dale was the big thing a few years later. Kenton gets loud but isn't really my thing, although I got the record for 99 cents.
