Ireland has taken in a lot of refugees, but sadly,
the other day - there was a pro-Russian(flags) motorcade albeit small
on the ring road motorway in Dublin. People are super angry.
As. Clay reported yesterday - The Russian embassy is running out of fuel and other supplies as Irish Companies are refusing to deliver...

Brainiac from Neuron 3:
communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy.
The Drake equation parameters are:
N = the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible (i.e. which are on our current past light cone);
and
R∗ = the average rate of star formation in our Galaxy
fp = the fraction of those stars that have planets
ne = the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets
fl = the fraction of planets that could support life that actually develop life at some point
fi = the fraction of planets with life that actually go on to develop intelligent life (civilizations)
fc = the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space
L = the length of time for which such civilizations release detectable signals into space
There is considerable disagreement on the values of these parameters, but the 'educated guesses' used by Drake and his colleagues in 1961 were:
R∗ = 1 yr−1 (1 star formed per year, on the average over the life of the galaxy; this was regarded as conservative)
fp = 0.2 to 0.5 (one fifth to one half of all stars formed will have planets)
ne = 1 to 5 (stars with planets will have between 1 and 5 planets capable of developing life)
fl = 1 (100% of these planets will develop life)
fi = 1 (100% of which will develop intelligent life)
fc = 0.1 to 0.2 (10–20% of which will be able to communicate)
L = 1000 to 100,000,000 communicative civilizations (which will last somewhere between 1000 and 100,000,000 years)
Inserting the above minimum numbers into the equation gives a minimum N of 20.
Inserting the maximum numbers gives a maximum of 50,000,000.
Drake states that given the uncertainties, the original meeting concluded that N ≈ L,
and there were probably between 1000 and 100,000,000 planets with civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy.

So a pirate has been on a ship for 6 months...
but there are no women on the ship and being male,he had some...urges, so he asked the captain
" arr its been 6 months since we've had a lass on the ship and some of the others are getting urges. what can we do about them??"
The captain responds "go down to the front of the ship and there will be a barrel, stick your privates in there and go at it."
He did as he was told and when he was done he came back. & told the captain
"captain! that was great! how many times can i use it????"
The captain turned to him and said " every day except Thursday."
The pirate asked "why not Thursday?"
The captain responded "aye, because Thursday's your turn to be in the barrel."

I had an appointment to bring in the little stray at 6:45AM.
The local humane has a deal with TARA , a somewhat local Vet Clinic that does spay/neuter & all other services: www.tara-spayneuter.org
6:30 AM & I still had not captured her.
She goes in and out of the trap several times without tripping it because she's so small.
Time for drastic measures, I scoop her up to put her in my carrier.
Of course she freaks out, gets out of my grasp & runs into the house & hides under my tv stand.
I manage to get her & off to the humane a block away.
5:00PM they tell me she's back from her surgery come & pick her up.
I get there to find out that "Della" is actually a little male, so now he's called "Drella"
He stays in the carrier most of the night. I put food out &during the night out he comes.
What's he doing? Shadowing my Squeezle McLove Muffin.
Whatever Squeezle does, he does. Walks alongside him purring away.
Now he's back asleep in the carrier !
