	👻 11:02pm SF Sorrow: Coolest instrument I ever had was a Chase pump organ. Didn't know how to play but it was easy to make up some cool sounds. Never should have gotten rid of it. Too heavy for multiple relocation's ):
	11:02pm Stu Rutherford: Lesley - I play keyboards as well but it's the instrument I'm least proficient on. When I'm playing keyboards it's more about the shapes of the chords. I learn the song knowing what the chords are but once I have memorized where to put my fingers I often forget exactly what some of the chords are that I'm playing.
	11:03pm MOM WHIG: SF that must have been the best ever. Just imagine what you could have done later on with it.
	11:04pm Fatherflot: We used to have a foot pump parlor organ in the home I grew up in.
	11:04pm Fatherflot: My mom eventually got my grandpa to install a vacuum cleaner motor in it so that you didn't have to pump it. It was great for spooky music.

	11:07pm LesleyK: That's cool Stu. I don't own a real keyboard now but can visualize all the notes since I played as a kid. I guess it kinda helps with guitar, music theory a bit. But I need to get back into it with guitar.

	11:09pm Fatherflot: I had piano lessons inflicted on me for years and they never took, but when I got into guitar, I eventually put myself to school on basic music theory. I am typically one of the more knowledgeable people at jams when it comes to chords, intervals, key transpositions, etc. Still can't sight read worth a lick though.

On his website, he shows the correct chords to all of his songs even down to differences between different versions he recorded of the same song! Very convenient!

	11:02pm Stu Rutherford: Lesley - I play keyboards as well but it's the instrument I'm least proficient on. When I'm playing keyboards it's more about the shapes of the chords. I learn the song knowing what the chords are but once I have memorized where to put my fingers I often forget exactly what some of the chords are that I'm playing.

I am typically one of the more knowledgeable people at jams when it comes to chords, intervals, key transpositions, etc. Still can't sight read worth a lick though.
