	🥁 5:46pm Discotech Underground: StringOFPerils-I was floored when I saw it...I figured this was just an improptu studio jam that got recorded and survived to be released posthumously. The film is not complete, they do have to fill in parts where footage is missing but there is more than enough to make it fascinating.
	🥁 5:47pm WLSClark: I paid $20 10 years ago for the US "Hey Joe" pic sleeve. HALF of the back side was missing, but it was such a great sleeve I bought it anyway!!! You just dont find them and the 51st Anniversary side was fine!
	🥁 5:47pm Discotech Underground: Michael-It was a bonus 7" included with The Essential Jimi Hendrix Vol. 2. I bought it new in the early 80's when it came out and it's not terrible rare.

	🥁 5:48pm Discotech Underground: Clark-I found the sleeve in beautiful condition at a shop and the owner GAVE it to me! It took me almost a year to find a record with 51st on the flip but I finally did and had to pay dearly for it. At least the set is complete now.

	🥁 6:03pm WLSClark: Kip, they were great too!! Yvonne was doing jazz with Sid McCoy overnights at WCFL when they went top 40. They stayed in that slot until Lujack came to town and took their slot at CFL for a few months in 67.

	🥁 6:05pm Discotech Underground: Clark-I couldn't get WCFL where I lived in Michigan but WLS came through like gangbusters. My mom had her whole morning routine scheduled around Lujack and Little Tommy.
	🥁 6:09pm WLSClark: Kip, me too. 60's survey afternoons, 70s mornings before high school, 80's the "WLS golf tour commissioner" before work! 3 decades of greatness. AND later on Real Oldies in the new century too!
	🥁 6:09pm MOM WHIG: I used to listen to WBZ in Boston - WABC in NYC & of course WLS - on my tiny red transistor am radio complete with a retractable antenna

	🥁 6:11pm Discotech Underground: Where I lived I could also get pre-CanCon CKLW where I lived as well. Once the CanCon thing happened, they really lost momentum in the states.

	🥁 6:11pm Discotech Underground: Alvy-I actually first heard this song as a teenager as done by The Godz. I didn't find the original until years later.
	🥁 6:12pm WLSClark: Kip, CKLW really pushed the Detroit soul (and other soul songs) really well in 60's!
	🥁 6:13pm WLSClark: This was a 45 and coulda done well, but nothing happened for it.
	🥁 6:13pm Discotech Underground: CKLW gave the Detroit stations a serious run for their money and made them bring their A-Game to the air always. It made for a great radio environment.

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

	🥁 5:46pm Discotech Underground: StringOFPerils-I was floored when I saw it...I figured this was just an improptu studio jam that got recorded and survived to be released posthumously. The film is not complete, they do have to fill in parts where footage is missing but there is more than enough to make it fascinating.
	🥁 5:47pm WLSClark: I paid $20 10 years ago for the US "Hey Joe" pic sleeve. HALF of the back side was missing, but it was such a great sleeve I bought it anyway!!! You just dont find them and the 51st Anniversary side was fine!
	🥁 5:47pm Discotech Underground: Michael-It was a bonus 7" included with The Essential Jimi Hendrix Vol. 2. I bought it new in the early 80's when it came out and it's not terrible rare.
