Austin is the REAL Maxhead, I'm a noob, but, still, what a delight and honor to be able to speak with these fellows. If I remember correctly, I'm pretty quiet during this because (a) Austin always has all the good questions and (b) Brian, Steve, and Michael really took off running with chat between the three of them and it was so fun to just be there listening to them talk.

	9:16pm ImaginosBuzzardoDesdinova: I was thinking of the Networks covering up the attack to prevent a continued panic. That's why they keep knowledge from the Blanks
	👻 9:16pm Austin Rich: Brian SWEARS like a sailor, both times I've spoken to him. We're supposed to set up another call soon, to speak about his entire career. But he's been working on some movies, so he's been out of pocket.

	👻 9:18pm Austin Rich: Heather was a lot of help in doing this interview, because she helped me organize my thoughts as to what would make a good conversation. Fortunately, Brian was on point for telling some good stories.

	👻 9:22pm Austin Rich: I'm so glad that Steve Roberts dropped the Ridley Scott reference. (He's done that a few times when we've talked, as we've spoken with Steve many times.) Steve seems to admit to only one influence: Ridley Scott. Everything else he's not really familiar with.
	9:22pm Otis: Work and d-d-d-d-deadlines. But here now with a small cup of evening coffee and cats. This is awe-awe-awe-some, t-tttt-tttt-tuned in.
	👻 9:24pm Heather Z: @Imaginos, do you think he would have found it a little "beneath" him, though? Action figure collecting is intellectual, you know? But skateboards.... hm.
	👻 9:24pm Austin Rich: All three of these gents were so generous with their time, and from the interviews, really wanted to show us how much Max still influenced them and their work. There were props and signs and other stuff all over the place in all of their offices, and Steve and Michael still meet up for beers on a regular basis.
	9:25pm ImaginosBuzzardoDesdinova: He might, Heather. But Cheviot might have ordered him to get involved before he found out how dangerous it was to get an insider on the team.
	9:25pm Ellen Lovebug: That's incredibly impressive, about the software.
	👻 9:26pm Heather Z: @Imaginos, very true. He's the only one "kid" enough to infiltrate.
	👻 9:28pm Austin Rich: re: The Samples. When I was editing this show, I would listen to it, make some notes about what would make a good sample after the comment, and then scurry to find something that fit into flow. It's a very slow process, but I like the collage style in the end.
	👻 9:29pm Heather Z: It really came out great, Austin. I know it was a ton of work but you did, as always, an excellent edit!
	👻 9:29pm Austin Rich: George R.R. Martin was another writer that worked on Max Headroom, who had come off of The Twilight Zone with Michael, and was supposed to write two episodes. One was shelved, because it was TOO controversial. The second was supposed to the the Season Two "Christmas" episode, but the show was canceled before it could be made. And then he moved on to work on Beauty & The Beast after that.

	👻 9:32pm Austin Rich: Michael keeps promising that George will talk to us about Max, but doesn't really want to talk about GoT stuff these days. Plus: he's a little busy right now. But I guess George does want to talk to us about his role on Max, someday. Apparently, George's controversial episode was "Mr. Meat." I tried to get some info about "Theora's Tale," but I don't think there was ever more than a name at that stage.

	👻 9:34pm Austin Rich: Oh! Wow! Maybe someone else has it out there, somewhere!? I would love to see a script for "Theora's Tale."
	👻 9:34pm Austin Rich: The parody of Dallas was "Porky's Landing" on Max Headroom. It was AMAZING.
	9:35pm ImaginosBuzzardoDesdinova: Can you imagine if someone actually produced Porky's Landing and Missile Mike?
	👻 9:36pm Austin Rich: I actually had a text exchange with Michael today, who was interested in joining us at first. But as it happens, not only is tomorrow is birthday, but he's pitching a new TV show at <network redacted> tomorrow. So he's a little busy tonight.
	9:37pm Ellen Lovebug: I love Logan's Run! In fact I've been watching Call the Midwife, and I was stunned that Sister Julienne, a nun on Call the Midwife, was the female lead from Logan's Run, Jenny Agutter!

	👻 9:38pm Austin Rich: Steve also promises that there's an interview pending with Matt Frewer, which I'm very excited about. I do hope that happens, someday.

	👻 9:45pm Austin Rich: I think what Michael is talking about here in coded language: there were probably two kinds of scripts. One for the censors, and one of the crew making the show.
	👻 9:46pm Austin Rich: @Heather: when we finally see Blade Runner for the podcast, you'll sort of understand why cars play such a role in Max, too.
	👻 9:47pm Austin Rich: I wish George Coe was still alive. I would love to interview him. Still working on my connections to get in touch with Amanda Pays, another actor I really want to interview for this show.

Meanwhile, what I remember about Knott's Berry Farm was the air balloon type ride where you slowly go up, and you have a 360 degree view of the park; then after you get to the top the send you shooting back down quickly, and your stomach arrives a few minutes later, lol

Austin is the REAL Maxhead, I'm a noob, but, still, what a delight and honor to be able to speak with these fellows. If I remember correctly, I'm pretty quiet during this because (a) Austin always has all the good questions and (b) Brian, Steve, and Michael really took off running with chat between the three of them and it was so fun to just be there listening to them talk.

	👻 9:22pm Austin Rich: I'm so glad that Steve Roberts dropped the Ridley Scott reference. (He's done that a few times when we've talked, as we've spoken with Steve many times.) Steve seems to admit to only one influence: Ridley Scott. Everything else he's not really familiar with.
	9:22pm Otis: Work and d-d-d-d-deadlines. But here now with a small cup of evening coffee and cats. This is awe-awe-awe-some, t-tttt-tttt-tuned in.

	👻 9:24pm Austin Rich: All three of these gents were so generous with their time, and from the interviews, really wanted to show us how much Max still influenced them and their work. There were props and signs and other stuff all over the place in all of their offices, and Steve and Michael still meet up for beers on a regular basis.
	9:25pm ImaginosBuzzardoDesdinova: He might, Heather. But Cheviot might have ordered him to get involved before he found out how dangerous it was to get an insider on the team.
	9:25pm Ellen Lovebug: That's incredibly impressive, about the software.
	👻 9:26pm Heather Z: @Imaginos, very true. He's the only one "kid" enough to infiltrate.
	👻 9:28pm Austin Rich: re: The Samples. When I was editing this show, I would listen to it, make some notes about what would make a good sample after the comment, and then scurry to find something that fit into flow. It's a very slow process, but I like the collage style in the end.
	👻 9:29pm Heather Z: It really came out great, Austin. I know it was a ton of work but you did, as always, an excellent edit!
	👻 9:29pm Austin Rich: George R.R. Martin was another writer that worked on Max Headroom, who had come off of The Twilight Zone with Michael, and was supposed to write two episodes. One was shelved, because it was TOO controversial. The second was supposed to the the Season Two "Christmas" episode, but the show was canceled before it could be made. And then he moved on to work on Beauty & The Beast after that.

	👻 9:32pm Austin Rich: Michael keeps promising that George will talk to us about Max, but doesn't really want to talk about GoT stuff these days. Plus: he's a little busy right now. But I guess George does want to talk to us about his role on Max, someday. Apparently, George's controversial episode was "Mr. Meat." I tried to get some info about "Theora's Tale," but I don't think there was ever more than a name at that stage.

	👻 9:36pm Austin Rich: I actually had a text exchange with Michael today, who was interested in joining us at first. But as it happens, not only is tomorrow is birthday, but he's pitching a new TV show at <network redacted> tomorrow. So he's a little busy tonight.
	9:37pm Ellen Lovebug: I love Logan's Run! In fact I've been watching Call the Midwife, and I was stunned that Sister Julienne, a nun on Call the Midwife, was the female lead from Logan's Run, Jenny Agutter!
