@Brian: Seems to be evolving quickly. They announced on Wednesday that Conjunctions would end at the end of the year, and Friday Bard said they "regret" the decision, which is weird. I guess they received a groundswell of handfuls of complaints (my guess is one or two prominent authors threatening to cancel workshops). I'm guardedly hopeful

Well, hangovers get worse with age, but this one isn't too bad because I generally avoid getting plastered. And my birthday celebration is the only time in Lent that I drink anything, so there won't be any continuation into the wekk. But, in German a birthday with both digits the same is a "Schnapsgeburtstag", so we had to have a small tasting of fruit and nut brandies from a small distiller near Frankfurt that I picked up on my last trip.
