The Lyrics for Mat by Elegi have been translated into 1 languages
Well we′re here

We're at the common again
Smoked six of the ten fags that I only bought an hour ago

Said well I I like the look of your shoes

I like the way that your face looks when I′m arguing with you

And so when, when we all grow old
I hope this song will remind you that I'm not half as bad as bad as what
You've been told

And when I knock At one hundred and two

And I see your pyjamas I can′t stop smiling at you
And that′s why when
We're at the common again
I′ve been pouring my heart out Towards your optimistic grin
Said well I, I I like the cut of your jib
I like the way that your face looks
When you're yapping on about him
But on this shirt I found your smell
And I just sat there for ages Contemplating what to do with myself
Called you up
At one hundred and two

We just sat there for ages Talking about that boy what was getting onto you You

Laini Mataka aka Wanda Robinson
Born and raised in Baltimore, she remains a local educator to young local poets in the Washington DC area.
Wanda Robinson recorded two spoken-word albums:
1971 - Black Ivory (made Billboard`s Black Album chart, reaching #29)
1973 - Me and a Friend (put together from tracks she’d recorded for Black Ivory - Wanda had nothing to do with the release of this work, she had left the music business prior to it's release)
Both were released by the label - Perception Records
Both feature Wanda reading her work over Jazz-R&B
Her work could be viewed as an important precursor to hip-hop.

In 1972, fed up with being paid very little for her work, she shaved her head, changed her name to Laini Mataka and left the music business.
As Laini Mataka, she has several books of her poetry published
1988 - Never as Strangers
1994 - Restoring the Queen
2000 - Bein a Strong Black Woman

Tom from Stirling.:

@dday: man, that was a great concert. Bill Bruford ( who replaced Phil on drums on one Genesis tour) once said artists don't want to hide their work in a closet. But they dont want to compromise their work. The easier word to live with is 'Balance". Get the work out there for the people to hear and try to be true to yourself.

@Tom: I could walk to the Capitol from my home in Grafield. I had either 1st or 5th row for so many shows from 73 until late 76 when we moved away

On a forum not long ago, somebody asked "Why would somebody voluntarily listen to Jimmy Buffet?"

I replied that Buffet makes me remember when the most pressing concern in my life was what was I going to make for dinner. If that's nostalgia then so be it. It works for me.

It is my wife's evil ex who is now dead. I had nothing to do with it. Honest. A truly evil man. I worked in Attica Prison, and he inmates/prisoners couldn't believe what a POS he was. Te air is sweeter now that he is gone. No egg salad tonight, basket cheese. Martinis always.
