Ben Horne's brother Jerry was played by David Patrick Kelly. In addition to 'The Warriors' (and many, many others) he played the villain opposite Dennis Quaid in 'Dreamscape'; a movie that scared the daylights out of a young ChukAmok.

_Ike_:

I don't remember Flirting with Disaster very well, but Ben Stiller seems to have become an excellent director if the first three episodes of Severance are anything to go by. It's great so far -- it's about people working on the "severed floor" of a mysterious corporation, and that's as bad for them as it sounds. (Unfortunately it's on Apple TV+, so Mark Hurst would not approve.)

Brainiac i haven't thought about Shakey's pizza in...a long time. Apparently there was one in S. Florida that is now permanently closed

Shakey's was founded in Sacramento, where Brainiac and I are located. I remember going there across from Sac State to listen to dixieland jazz. My dad would bring 6 kids, drink beer, eat pizza, and come home with 6 kids.

@DjLorraine: As Carmichael could have told you, Sacramento was the home of the very first Shakey's, and I live but a few scant miles ...

And there he is. Thanks, Carm!

Galactapus is my favorite band of the day! Reminiscent of Danny Elfman on some combination of muscle relaxants and speed.

@Gurldoggie - I just looked up Wall of Sound. I had no idea that it is down the street from Neumos. I'm going to a show at Neumos at the end of the month so I will stop in Wall of SOund before hand.

I am harboring a suspicion that DJ Scott mixed the vocalizations of a cat in heat into that Nov3l track, but I'm not going to be the one to say it.

@gurldoggie - I was afraid you were going to say that ;)

Molly Ringwald's father organized a banjo group that played at Shakeys. That was cool stuff back in the late 60s.
