A live, improvised sound collage experiment, going back 28 years, weaving mesmerizing new soundscapes from found and collected materials right in the present moment.
Pop music, speeches, live phone calls and spontaneous monologues become ambient loopy layered threads riding the liminal spaces between waking and dreaming. [On hiatus.]

@fred, since becoming and adult, I thankfully have never had a near death situation via a train, thankfully, but as a kid in Japan, it's a miracle I didn't become pink mist on the tracks multiple times (I'm not the brightest person and lack common sense).

"A DAYTIME METEOR SHOWER IS UNDERWAY: Radars in the northern hemisphere are pinging with activity as one of the strongest meteor showers of the year takes place in broad daylight. The source of the shower is sungrazing Comet 96P/Machholz. Although the meteors are emerging from a radiant point near the glaring sun, it may be possible to see a few of them before sunrise on June 7th."

My computerized piano has a metronome feature. You can change the BPM. Good. You can add a "ding" every x beats, i.e. to sound out each measure. Good. But you can't raise that value above 6. 6! Have they not heard of 7/8 time? I can't double the BPM and change 4 to 8 to hear the half beats...because, I can't enter 8. That's bigger than 6. WTF. It should allow ANY number. It's just a fucking computer. It's no harder to count out 8 than 6.

Speaking of fitting numbers: "Radiation meters in the extended Chernobyl area have been reading higher and higher, with many of them reporting numbers of 65500 nanosieverts/hr." ... "Digital devices often store numerical values in data cells called a "double" (two times 8 bits)." ... " ... "The largest number it can store is (2 to the 16th, minus 1, which comes out to) 65535... which rounded down to the nearest hundred is 65500..."
