Cheree - Ha! It's frpm a cartoon character!
  3:19pm
Cheree July:

Yeah, I thought so. Brits have either quite the sense of humor or they're unintentionally hilarious at naming stuff.
Avatar 3:20pm
Mr Fab:

Damn, the Misty Ginger show yesterday had a hot pants special, and they missed that song!
  3:20pm
Cheree July:

This singer sounds like the guy from the Music Machine
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm
Kat in Chicago:

Not enough erotic moaning on it for Misty
Avatar 3:21pm
Debbie Davenport:

Remember Dolphin shorts? Those were even more revealing than hot pants. Our school had to write a dress code because of them.
  3:22pm
Cheree July:

If the Sean Boniwell Music Machine did a Junkshop Glam record, I'd be impressed.
Avatar 3:22pm
Debbie Davenport:

It does sound like Sean Bonniwell.
Avatar 3:23pm

Cheree @ 3:19 why yes I would like some Heinz’ Spotted Dick!
  3:24pm
Cheree July:

Mr. Fab Stop!😅🤣😂
Avatar 3:24pm
Debbie Davenport:

😄
Avatar 3:26pm
Mr Fab:

Oh yea, Dolphin shorts were all the rage in the ‘80s. A fave topic at the all-boys school I attended. Heck, what NBA players wore at the time were basically hot pants.
Avatar 3:27pm
Debbie Davenport:

I thought American Horror Story 1984 did a good job at depicting that time. Allt he aerobics stuff in the short shorts. haha
  3:28pm
Cheree July:

The Boniwell Music Machine did a song called The Point of No Return which sounds A LOT like the Man That Sold the World-era Bowie. It didn't get released until the early 2000s
Avatar 3:29pm
Debbie Davenport:

I like that song he does Dark White.
  3:34pm
Cheree July:

Dark White is amazing! It sounds a lot like QOTSA
Avatar 3:36pm
Debbie Davenport:

SWEET!
Avatar 3:37pm
Debbie Davenport:

oh thanks for the tip. I've either not listened to Queens of The Stone Age, but only a song or two. I don't remember what they sound like.

Debbie Davenport:

I stay in a bubble most of the time.
  3:38pm
Cheree July:

Amazed Kitten didn't play this when some mean girl at the Monty tried to pick a catfight with me & bullied me. OOF🙀😾😿
Avatar 3:38pm
Debbie Davenport:

When was that?
Avatar 3:39pm
Mr Fab:

the Ramones figured if a fast rockin song with "blitz" in the title was a hit, why shouldn't "Blitzkrieg Bop" also be a smash with the kids? THey were expecting to be as big as The Sweet, and I have no idea why they weren't.
  3:44pm
Cheree July:

Pre-Covid. December 2019. It was Brian Butler's Birthday. Said mean girl tried to get $150 out of me just for dating him since 2014. She blew 🚬 in my face & laughed at me when I had a severe Autistic meltdown. Long, difficult story for me to tell.😰😭😡
Avatar 3:48pm
Debbie Davenport:

Oh my god! I'm so sorry that happened. I'm on your side and ready to protect you from the mean girls. I came close to renting a studio apartment in dtla then, just to go to those shows and occasional concert once in awhile. I'm sad it didn't happen, but when/if I eventually visit those dance things I'll let you know. I don't really know how to fight, but I'm built for that and sports. I intimidate people when I don't even try.
Avatar 3:50pm
Mr Fab:

What a psycho! A certain Holly and the Italians song comes to mind...
Avatar 3:54pm
Dolor-X:

Are you the TALL kind of intimidating, Debbie, or is it some other quality? Hard for me to imagine although I’ve never met you.
Avatar 4:00pm
Debbie Davenport:

Dolores Hard to say. Because it's been a life long thing. maybe it's a vibe. wehn I joined facebook i was surprised at the people from my past that said I used to intimidate or scare them. All those years I was sad they were snobs to me because I thought we had a lot in common.
Once on a police report I was listed at 6ft, but I'm only 5 ft 6+. I don't wear heels that high. An ex on fb thought gordon must be 7ft because he's a lot taller than me in photos. so I don't know.
Avatar 4:00pm
Debbie Davenport:

That Coutin record is hot!
Avatar 4:01pm
Kitten Sparkles:

I remember that! Eeek!
Avatar 4:01pm
Dolor-X:

It’s a vibe then!
Avatar 4:03pm
Dolor-X:

Is this the longest word I’ve ever heard spelled out in a song?
Avatar 4:03pm
Debbie Davenport:

yeah. Idon't think mean city girls would be that easily intimidated by me until I had a rush of anger and my mouth just started going off. I get protective about people in situations like that. A mothering thing probably. they would walk away. At the very least because I would annoy them.
Avatar 4:04pm
Dolor-X:

Except for Mississippi, if that’s even in a song.

Wow, another example of less expected songs fitting in. This 1980 song works well here.
  4:35pm
