Aside from a cassette tape I still possess, the X-Men that I'm talking about released one LP on Buy Our Records in 1988. Then in 2013, they put out a split single with Jon Caspi & the First Gun (known to Glen Jones listeners) on Brighton Bar Records.

This is an interesting take --I wanna hear more on your point
@CourtneyNoir:"Having lived in Washington in the late 80s and through most of the 90s (basically my teen years) I was actually surprised Screaming Trees weren't as well known as I thought when I got to the Midwest for college in '97"
RIGHT???
@DonnyBrooker:"Never got chance to see him live, he lived out last of his life in Killarney Ireland, so at least"
Did not realize that Donny!
Also looking forward to yr DropIn

- Johnny Cash came to mind when FMU-Js were promoting some contempo Tom Jones in which he was trying to be more serious - which was good. But I thot - he's no Johnny Cash. You know who could do this with authority before breakfast?
Mark freaking Lanegan.
He's got the gravitas, the utterly convincing Voice
...that kind of depth & the gritty embrace of cold hard Reality - but expressed Poetically as a Writer.
Maybe he didn't match Cash's spiritual conviction to transcend all that - but Lanegan still strove to sublimate it into Art & Energy & perseverance...
