Favoriting February 9, 2022: LATA (1929-2022)
South Asia lost its greatest voice on Sunday with the passing of revered Bollywood playback singer, Lata Mangeshkar. Lata’s career began before the partition and she continued to record, if sporadically, into the 21st century. This tribute will focus on some of our favorite tracks, from her first major hits of the late 1940s to rare but standout performances of the 1990s.

I haven't written about it! But yeah RK actually wanted Lata to star in the movie in his original conceptualization of it! He was so obsessed with her voice and it represented pure spiritual beauty (transcending physical beauty) but of course it's Raj so he's still obsessed with physical beauty (hence all the underboob).
