I don't even know if they meant to be, Frank! I don't think in particular, no. One was just bass, drums, and vocals. You could hear one of those three things. I did not make out a single lyric among three bands except from lip reading. None of the 20-somethings who kept trading off at the soundboard seemed concerned. Half the people in the room seemed to work there, so you'd think maybe one of them could have given it a shot.

There were other disturbing signs. I mean, this event was sponsored (sweet god, I loathe Six Point beers). But it seems like the whole place is maybe now sponsored? Six Point, Jim Beam, and Hornitos: looking at the bar you could be forgiven for thinking that you can get only those liquids in various combinations. (Though one of those combos is a beer and a shot where the shot adds $4!! FFS, that's not a deal, it's just a second damn drink!) So ... I don't know what it means or if it means anything at all, but I just noticed that it was more highly corporatized in presentation than I remembered.

Most interesting musical moment of the night was a King Baby graffito in the bath room.
