	8:18am Glistener MW: Yes!! I feel that exact phenomenon all the time with seeing artists multiple times over. Worse still when you see someone in the same venue a 2nd or 3rd time and later shows are worse; the visual of the venue can muddle the perfect memory of the first experience. I’ve started to do the same now (pre-pandemic, I mean), sometimes wilfully passing up a return show if the previous gig was absolutely perfect

A Lonnie Mack/Ed Lubeunski project. Harvey's brother Gary played bas as a fill in in my younger brother's metal band Tortured Dog (no dogs were ever harmed)

	8:37am David: Regarding John Lennon. Obviously he had a sad and traumatic childhood and that definitely impacted the way he acted as an adult. And I agree he was great in many way and was at times a positive force for good. I think it’s up to the individual as to where they stand on wither or not to listen to the music of know abusers. It is possible (for some people at least) to separate the music from the art. But one thing I would hope everyone can agree with is that “talent” is never an excuse for abuse.

Worse still when you see someone in the same venue a 2nd or 3rd time and later shows are worse; the visual of the venue can muddle the perfect memory of the first experience. I’ve started to do the same now (pre-pandemic, I mean), sometimes wilfully passing up a return show if the previous gig was absolutely perfect

	8:37am David: Regarding John Lennon. Obviously he had a sad and traumatic childhood and that definitely impacted the way he acted as an adult. And I agree he was great in many way and was at times a positive force for good. I think it’s up to the individual as to where they stand on wither or not to listen to the music of know abusers. It is possible (for some people at least) to separate the music from the art. But one thing I would hope everyone can agree with is that “talent” is never an excuse for abuse.
