With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers
Big bands and squawkers,
the Stork Club has retained its qualities of decaying elegance and dwindling significance since the late 1950s.

Speaking of eeeeeee, I think my hearing has taken another quantum dip in quality. That isn't a distortion in the signal; it's one in my audiohead. I know I should avoid noise. Clapping on headphones and turning it up for a few hours feels like burning a match.

TDK, one of the better things I did during the pandemic was to quit Spotify and use FMU and especially the drummer stream in its place. No regrets there.

I have a free Spotify, thinking of deleting it (don't really like it, but sometimes useful). Had TIDAL, also cancelled, and Amazon music, also cancelled, can't listen to so much stuff, hard to navigate, etc.

the sound quality isn't analogue, of course, but it sure beats the hell out of youboob sound quality (which several wfmu show hosts seem to use heavily)

i have created my own playlists though, at least 110 of them. i spent quite a lot of time on my Neil Young playlist! oh well. i also have 10 (?) african music playlists, between 500-600 songs each.
there's no way i'd ever hear this music otherwise.
