	12:48pm Gaylord Fields: @WoodsOfNH (now Maine): It was originally by the sixties soul group the Flirtations. The Cobras rarely delved into originals. "Hot Dog (Watch Me Eat)" is a rare and great exception.
	12:48pm tim from washington: Aw, man. This is sad and heavy. As a Michigan dude I can testify that the Cobras and Rachel Nagy were Pure Michigan. Rough on the edges, self-defeating yet badder ass then everyone else. I'm glad I got to see the Cobras a bunch of times. Fortunately, I didn't catch any bad nights. The Cobras were also the last band I've seen live that scared me - hahaha. It was the first time I saw them on NYE 2000. Each band member was fully loaded on a different substance except for the sober drummer and there were some heavy bad vibes coming off the stage. I remember thinking "Whoa, I better step back a little bit in case shit gets off the hook - haha. Also, I'll be forever grateful to the Cobras for covering the Equals 'Green Light'. That really opened a door for me. Thanks for the tribute, efd.

But yeah, learning more about them only now. Loved what you read, efd, and personally particularly the bit about putting your damn phone down and and just being at the show. I no longer even hesitate to shout "put your phones down" during shows. Great tribute, efd.

	12:48pm Gaylord Fields: @WoodsOfNH (now Maine): It was originally by the sixties soul group the Flirtations. The Cobras rarely delved into originals. "Hot Dog (Watch Me Eat)" is a rare and great exception.
	12:48pm tim from washington: Aw, man. This is sad and heavy. As a Michigan dude I can testify that the Cobras and Rachel Nagy were Pure Michigan. Rough on the edges, self-defeating yet badder ass then everyone else. I'm glad I got to see the Cobras a bunch of times. Fortunately, I didn't catch any bad nights. The Cobras were also the last band I've seen live that scared me - hahaha. It was the first time I saw them on NYE 2000. Each band member was fully loaded on a different substance except for the sober drummer and there were some heavy bad vibes coming off the stage. I remember thinking "Whoa, I better step back a little bit in case shit gets off the hook - haha. Also, I'll be forever grateful to the Cobras for covering the Equals 'Green Light'. That really opened a door for me. Thanks for the tribute, efd.

But yeah, learning more about them only now. Loved what you read, efd, and personally particularly the bit about putting your damn phone down and and just being at the show. I no longer even hesitate to shout "put your phones down" during shows. Great tribute, efd.
