Thank you, Glyinis Girl Group Girl. I heard the Italian version FROM A CASSETTE that was playing in an Italian restaurant I randomly stopped into when I was living in New York. I asked the owner what that was and he showed me the tape itself! Alec Palao helped me identify it. I had to sing the melody. The Italian version was very Beau Brummels sounding which is why I called Alec and hummed a few bars. He told me the whole story.
