online sales was already a huge growth area but the pandemic/lockdowns gave it a huge boost.
I almost got a job at one of Australia's top online retailers.

Join the Church of Stop Shopping.

When the real “People’s” history of NYC is written Reverend Billy will have earned a page or two.

I think brazen, entitled consumerism may even be tops on my list over nationalism for things I loathe most about this country.

I wasn't listening closely until now, and I thought it was Therese.

I'm digging the show. I'm teaching myself how to crown guitar frets. I lost patience with it earlier and almost threw the guitar neck and tools across the room, but now this music has reinspired patience, and I have recommenced.

Happy turkeyholiday to Fox and to all.

I wonder if diners are the same kind of the thing that they are in NorthEast suburbia as they are around the rest of the country? Weird uniquely American thing I’d think. Open 24/7, ridiculously extensive menus of mostly greasy food, free coffee refills, catering to the lonely, teenagers, old folks and traveling families.
Something kind of enchanting about them though in general, as these nighttime outposts. Although it’s kind of nauseating to think of eating in them exclusively.

THanks to everyone commenting on the list! Sorry I'm not more present, but I've not really planned this show ahead, so I'm a bit frazzled!!! Thanks everyone!!!

Man, this tune prompted me to pick up a book I’ve had trouble finishing. That being, “Great Jones Street,” by Don DeLillo. I’ve put it down a few times in the past month, and read other books in between.

Thanks for the vibe.

I'm enjoying your non-graveyard show. I wish you were on regularly outside the graveyard.

The phone calls remind me of WKCR's Bob Fass, which is good.

I always mean to check out overnight shows in the archives, but I rarely get around to it. I vote for Fox getting an awake-hours show.

I'm in Sunset Park, but only for about 6-7 years. It's safe here these days, much different than the 90s from what I understand. Lots of Mexican families. Lots of good huaraches, sopes, and tacos. Now there are some folks selling homemade ceviche out of coolers on a corner. Brooklyn Chinatown might be slowly expanding outwards from 7th and 8th Aves., too.

And like the caller said, there are more bars here now. L'Wren and Judy's just opened a couple of years ago. I think the fancy new gentrified-looking fish taco place has a bar in it too. But there's also that shitty old Irish bar, Irish Haven. Maybe that was the one you had to be buzzed into?
Avatar 10:41pm
Fox:

Ike: YES! I think it was! On 4th ave?
Avatar 10:43pm

Yeah, 4th in the 50s. You definitely don't need to be buzzed in now.

Coincidentally:

I met my first foxes this summer camping at Hecksher State Park near Islip

First one was nosing around my tent as I had to leave the door open to accommodate a camping kitty that adopted me.

Female tuxedo. Really. Looked like slugluvs avatar with more black and a key hole shaped black spot on its nose. Old school keyhole.

But the Fox. Looking in. I felt Boots the cat stir on my leg. Looked out and could swear the Fox looked like a high end small dog. And on Long Island. I never knew. Saw some rabbits too.

Watched Dork Gently Holistic Detective from 2010 bbc yesterday. Just had my usual thanksgiving sushi all you can eat binge today. Chinese sounds good for tomorrow went today to avoid the crowds.

There will be crowds

So the next night camping I forgot to seal or dispose some leftover chicken legs and wings and woke to the foxes eating the shit out of them.

That sound.

You mentioned the Fox call

Sorry. Auto spell loves capping Fox it’s not an old man thing

Loving your show so very much

Ken should bring you into the light more.

Happy holiday Fox lady

Luv luv luv the show
