Wow, once again the station tote board took a big jump after (or late during) Mr McGasko's show, reinforcing my suspicion that it stops when he's prepping for his show and has to put down the listener services crank for a few hours.

Hey Billy , Brian, annie, Ken, Sylvia and Robert! Ah, those pictures were of Laurie Anderson, Arto Lindsay and friends. They put on a show at Joe's Pub called Kludge. I didn't get around to labeling them.

Maybe my projection during the first week that the Hell Raiser would need a stretch goal like last year's was premature. It'd take quite a "kick" to get to the goal as early in the month as last year, but getting there comfortably is still quite feasible.

TODD!
  1:02pm
Listener Robert:

Now that I Google it, I see it acknowledged that that theme music WAS based on "Please Release Me" -- which makes it a great musical wink, considering what "Cuckoo's Nest" was about.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:03pm
Brian in UK:

I know his is heretical on FMU but did Todd ever do anything better than this. Pure radio music.
  1:05pm
Listener Robert:

It's a lot of fun for me to recognize in a piece of music a "wink" like that. I think it was a couple years ago I heard a recent piece on WFMU and recognized in it two passages from the theme from the TV series "The Mothers-In-Law".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm
Irene Trudel:

Brian, it's a tough call. Todd's written and recorded so many great songs over the years. Cool that you realized the Cockoo theme was based on Please Release Me. I do hear it now.
