i read somewhere years ago that they wrote love potion #9 with the coasters in mind but the coasters either didn't want to do it or couldn't fit the studio time in (i forget which)
so the clovers got it.
i personally like the clovers version 2nd best, after the amazing funky coasters version, when they finally did it in the early 70s.
