Hello. Since last week’s success with Wet Leg, this week I recommend Since We Broke Up by Anna B Savage. The ‘I want to live alone but I can’t afford the rent’ is particularly poignant o me this week since I was meant to move in with my partner but it all went wrong and now I’ve lost hundred of pounds and millions of feelings. https://open.spotify.com/track/0OLxR9humbThdjdfs3FPJg?si=qSHZmmnURBCHwDZx1lD34Q&dl_branch=1

My favorite story from the Beastie Boys book is when Biz showed up for their recording session in their LA warehouse studio. Biz first thing asks "Where's the candy store?". The Beastie Boys were wondering what that meant. Someone finally said that there was a convenient store up the street. Biz left and returned with an armful of candy. During the session Biz just wanted to sing AM radio yacht rock standards.

@Marco - thanks for asking. We didn't end up going due to the Hawaiin governor's request for travelers to stay home. We ended up going to Mt Rainier in WA and took the kids to a kids' resort/waterslide place for a night.

à propos of Sigur Ros, I am not sure if it is unhelpful to bring it up or the opposite but ... (well here I go I suppose) anyone has any idea if they got over some financial/legal trouble they seemed to have run into some time ago? I saw an article about it and I was wondering if someone was causing them trouble in purpose (as in I got the feeling that the article in itself was suspiciously timed, or weirdly targeted harmless individuals)... anyway. Love their music so I hope they have been okay since
