Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

Chili-I got my first copy of FO from a hole in the wall antique store in Lansing, Michigan in 1981. It was out of print at the time and finding used copies was the only way to own it. I got that, Absolutely Free and one of the MGM comps for bucks for the three TOTAL!

I was never a big fan of Aqualung, really. Much past that, I just can't get into them despite trying. I think when Ian started firing some of the long standing band members the sound changed and not in a way I liked. The Wild Turkey album with Clive Bunker is more enjoyable to me than later works like A Passion Play.

Kit, that's sad as Deep Purple put on a great show. I liked Edgar Winter a few years ago when I saw him. First time I saw Edgar and Johnny together in 1976..it was the loudest concert I ever attended...my ears actually rang for three days afterwards.

RickJones-To be fair, it was a weeknight (like a Wednesday) and Purple was on pretty late. The older crowd probably had jobs to go to in the morning! Cooper really put on a very high energy show and Purple's three songs killed it but then they got too heady with a lot of keyboard indulgences and I think people headed for the door at that point. I stayed.

Also, I saw him make a woman on an airborne slab disappear into thin air while singing FEED MY FRANKENSTEIN when he opened for Judas Priest ...as an amateur magician, I love his incorporation of magic into his shows!
