It is very frustrating to hear people question things like how the vaccines were turned around so quickly and therefore can't be trusted or how that must mean there have been cures for cancer and AIDS but that the drug companies hide those cures so they can profit off of sick people. Besides the conspiratorial stuff being baseless and not making sense, there are very simple explanations for why the vaccines, especially the mRNA ones, were turned around so quickly, why they are safe and effective, and why it's way harder to find a cure for AIDS and cancers.
	7:37am Rosey is Listening on 91.1 MHz: Plus, especially at this point with so many people outside of trials receiving the vaccine, you don't even have to follow the science. You just need a very basic understanding of statistics to see why you absolutely should get a vaccine and absolutely should worry about COVID-19. I attended a wedding in Long Branch last weekend, lot of good Rutgers friends there. About half of the people at my table were NOT vaccinated. I just don't even know what to say anymore. So upsetting and disappointing, and they have nobody but themselves to blame if they get sick or get someone else sick.

Don't let them shift the focus.

Or even something like smoking in public indoor spaces. It's not about freedom of choice when tobacco, secondhand and sidestream smoke certainly included, is the leading preventable cause of death in America.

It is very frustrating to hear people question things like how the vaccines were turned around so quickly and therefore can't be trusted or how that must mean there have been cures for cancer and AIDS but that the drug companies hide those cures so they can profit off of sick people. Besides the conspiratorial stuff being baseless and not making sense, there are very simple explanations for why the vaccines, especially the mRNA ones, were turned around so quickly, why they are safe and effective, and why it's way harder to find a cure for AIDS and cancers.

You just need a very basic understanding of statistics to see why you absolutely should get a vaccine and absolutely should worry about COVID-19. I attended a wedding in Long Branch last weekend, lot of good Rutgers friends there. About half of the people at my table were NOT vaccinated. I just don't even know what to say anymore. So upsetting and disappointing, and they have nobody but themselves to blame if they get sick or get someone else sick.
