Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

Gah, Phillippe, I am sorry to hear it. Solidarity and sympathy.
TDK60, somehow, somehow, we are going to hit the road tomorrow. It seems hard to believe. Disaster still seems ongoing and general. But we are keeping the goal firmly sighted.
Pretty much 100 percent, symptoms-wise. I'm still a little congested, but with allergies, western wildfires, and potential lingering COVID, who knows?
I am going to go get the car from the garage and stock up on pet food at 11 so will miss the last hour of Katemas.

...but never as actually fluent in her oeuvre as I ought to be if I ever stop to think about it
...so this is all to the good...
Definitely interesting how everyone relates to her has changed in different periods (hers & the World's) & over years ~ decades...
Have definitely felt @ one time (Red Shoes) or twice she was throwing a curveball - but also don't remember expecting less (?)...
All of which means, I guess: She's a lot to take in...@ the same time as one reacts & connects reflexively to her expression...a paradox...

I love Directors like Gilliam who use some of the potential of Cinema to put something visually interesting up there...& he seems to steer clear of the Great Director's trap of not having something worthwhile Written...

Funny Beatles thing: Guitarist Steve Morse lists Meet the Beatles among top 10 albums that "changed his life." Listened eagerly as a kid with friends, but...
"It was great β the music just floored us. But I do remember that when it came to the ballads, we kind of looked at each other with our heads slightly askance. My friend said, βWell, every album has to have some of theseβ¦β We would skip over it the ballads...."
