	6:24am Gerry from Miami: A Tribe Called Qwest picked a heck of a town in which to lose their wallet. El Segundo High was the shooting site of many a teen movie or TV series. One of my faves, "Rock and Roll High School" with the Ramones, was filmed there. And don't forget that El Segundo is the hometown of the King of the Surf Guitar, Dick Dale.

	6:40am Gerry from Miami: Pidge, Philadelphia is a completely different place from the city where I got my education in the 60s. It "grew up" a lot. It even has a skyscraper skyline now. Building height was severely limited by law when I was there. So many great musicians come from Philly. Maybe you can have a "Philly Phriday" some day soon!

The Potter author - my age group n fact - came up with her story while on the dole - but seems very bourgeois to me now. Not saying the Potter stories have no good metaphors - but it all looks pretty obvious & facile to me... The bad guys are symbolized by snakes - & all the facile tropes...

One of my faves, "Rock and Roll High School" with the Ramones, was filmed there. And don't forget that El Segundo is the hometown of the King of the Surf Guitar, Dick Dale.

	6:40am Gerry from Miami: Pidge, Philadelphia is a completely different place from the city where I got my education in the 60s. It "grew up" a lot. It even has a skyscraper skyline now. Building height was severely limited by law when I was there. So many great musicians come from Philly. Maybe you can have a "Philly Phriday" some day soon!
