Brian Chidester has just produced an amazing exotica LP with the Swedish band Ixtahuele on the works of songwriter/artist Eden Ahbez (“Nature Boy”). Hi David... no pre-Cole recordings of it that have been discovered so far. There are some demos of other Ahbez songs that pre-date "Nature Boy" however. There is also a sheet music booklet of "NB" from 1946 which has the song in a primitive state---i.e. diff. lyrics, slightly different chords, very much in its germinative state. And the song was plucked by Cole from a six-part "NB Suite."
