Is this from North Korea? My only context to North Korean music is that Sublime Frequencies comp where the music sounded like Disney film set to marches.

OOF yes quite evocative of early 70s folkie stuff
and as was true back then -- part of me really loves the quiet, heartfelt vibes, the other part of me is wrenching and screaming, running as fast as i can in the opposite direction

I remember an interview with them on KPFK c.1980; they spoke glowingly of taking-in teen runaways they had persuaded not to have abortions—it _could_ have been innocuous, or it could have been a way of being puritanical about women's choices, growing their population, and creating a supply of women who'd already had had sex and so might be considered fair game by them. I honestly don't know.
I think they were also anti-{birth control}, and _very_ anti-Pill.

Is it as effective at inducing celibacy as David Peel is at strongly arguing for straight-edged sobriety?
