Favoriting Bryce: Playlist from June 11, 2021 Favoriting

I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

There is a Polish film Mother Joan of the Angels (1961) by Jerzy Kawalerowicz that deals with a similar subject as KR's The Devils. It sticks in my mind as a fine film, but unfortunately I haven't been able to find a copy online.

Krys O.:

Scuzzy! We still have some bar code readers on a shelf that required a 'wedge' to be plugged into an RS-232 port. They became obsolete about 15-16 years ago, but we still have 'em. The stainless steel contact wand has a ruby tip that could only read a bar code via actual contact dragging across the machine-readable code in a steady and slow fashion. they were used a lot in voting and tax payments by municipalities.

If you're unable to fall asleep at night, ponder that and you will drop right off.

@Ike: I think the concept of a 'general store' in an urban area that is underserved by retail could actually work, but it would require large reserves of funds until the store gets established. There were some of those in Bloomfield.

@threemoons - echoing what @mulligan said - never take any diagnosis at face value, always seek out 3rd and 4th opinions and most importantly, *do your own research*. That will help you accept whatever outcomes that need to pass, or difficult choices that need to be made. You will also feel much less of a sense of 'powerlessness' and regret after all is said and done,

@threemoons - I'll take your word on that, of course - just saying, in general I find I get better decisions from doctors when I get multiple opinions, -and- roll up my sleeves to do the research. Even if the only route available is palliative care... it may lead to a better outcome. Also, a surprising portion of the time it just so happens that they're wrong, and in a big way (in either their diagnosis or their recommendations).
