I named my cats Albert and Sonja, after Albert Einstein and Sonja Kovalevskaya (they are very smart cats with an interest in mathematical physics...). But we started calling Sonja "Sunny", so now I tell people they are named after Albert Ayler and Sonny Rollins, even though that's not 100% true.

Some of the local radio out in the boonies can be pretty wild though, YB. That's one thing I love about driving in the South, all the local stations. Sundays are a trip, you get all kinds of churches broadcasting their services. Some do the old hellfire-and-brimstone routine, others have really amazing live gospel music.

yeah thanks guys. So weird to see normalcy taking place elsewhere (though of course Im happy to see it) whe w are heading into the worst of it due to a completely inept provincial leader. Oh well, im ok, just worry about others. In my city they are filling up the childrens hospitals with adults. Its all manageable until the beds are ful, then you have a catastrophe like nyc last year.

The CV status for here in Missouri is the same as ever. Sorta uninspiringly mediocre most of the time. The peak was in mid-November and now the state is averaging under 500 cases a day (MO has 1.5m more people than British Columbia).
The vaccination effort isn't making as many big city residents drive to rural areas as it was 2 months ago.

I'd hope people in the USA can figure out why local PDs haven't been given the power to question people like what's going on in Ontario

Most people have conflated the ideas of the post-French Revolution (which where we get the words right wing and left wing) from their National Assembly (conservative on the right side, Jacobists on the left). So, the term left-wing has became anything that's not reactionary, hence liberal. Liberal was already used for anything w/ capitalism by Adam Smith in the mid-18th century, as it wasn't feudalism.
