It was very festive in the evenings during Ramadan, but I'm sure it doesn't compare to being in the Middle East. Lots of great sweets, I remember. Sorry to hear about Chloe, Tom. Poor girl.

It was around I think before any of the big file sharing programs kazaa napster etc and sometimes ill still use it if im absolutely stumped on finding something. I dont think it's changed at all in 20 years. Kept it's head down for sure.

You might even tell it to clear the cache when exiting the browser (that will make loading previously seen pages and images a little slower though)
