Some rude boys in the mosh pit gobbed him with spit and he stormed off stage. One of his roadies informed us that we had to behave or the concert was over. Things calmed down and he completed a very fine gig.

	🍒 7:30pm David Shortell: The crowd that that showed up for the 2006 Meteors show in South River was small. It got even smaller after the band aborted its first song. Without a word, one of them threw his guitar straight up in the air, turned about and dashed backstage (followed by the rest of the Meteors). I was one of the few who stuck around (even the merch guy packed up his wares and left). Eventually the band did return to play a a complete uninterrupted set. The Brighton Bar's owner had considered booking the Meteors until I told him this story!

Some rude boys in the mosh pit gobbed him with spit and he stormed off stage. One of his roadies informed us that we had to behave or the concert was over. Without a word, one of them threw his guitar straight up in the air, turned about and dashed backstage (followed by the rest of the Meteors). I was one of the few who stuck around (even the merch guy packed up his wares and left). Eventually the band did return to play a a complete uninterrupted set. The Brighton Bar's owner had considered booking the Meteors until I told him this story!
