The only thing that kept me sane was tuning into Irene. I am a wuss but even watching the news where you see the goodness of people of the planet getting their shots has me running and hiding behind the sofa! Yes, I need somebody to hold my hand!!

But guess what, that's just because that was the first year WFMU began posting playlists online. Irene has years and years of playlists from pre-1996 before WFMU embraced the internet. Irene is a WFMU lifer, someone who has spent very nearly her entire adult life contributing to WFMU. Both making it a better place and, it goes without saying, making simply beautiful radio. It is impossible to imagine a WFMU without Irene Trudel, and, thank the great Coltrane in the sky, we don't have to!

The only thing that kept me sane was tuning into Irene. I am a wuss but even watching the news where you see the goodness of people of the planet getting their shots has me running and hiding behind the sofa! Yes, I need somebody to hold my hand!!

But guess what, that's just because that was the first year WFMU began posting playlists online. Irene has years and years of playlists from pre-1996 before WFMU embraced the internet. Irene is a WFMU lifer, someone who has spent very nearly her entire adult life contributing to WFMU. Both making it a better place and, it goes without saying, making simply beautiful radio. It is impossible to imagine a WFMU without Irene Trudel, and, thank the great Coltrane in the sky, we don't have to!
