Interesting how the Nathan Bowles & Dave Heumann piece transitioned from classic American folk into more open ended improv. Nice.

Hi there Stanley.

Andrew in Toronto:

Hey there Dennis!
  7:35am
Ted in Montclair:

Just got my CD of Bob Dylan 1970, which just came out. 3 CDs, 3 1/2 hours of music, much of which would fit nicely into Planet. I’m dating myself here, but the title reminds me of an old horror movie with Boris Karloff: Frankenstein 1970 (from 1958).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38am
Jeffrey Davison:

@Fredericks: that might be due more to Bowles than Heumann, but agreed...
Good morning Stanley!
@Ted: I don't play Dylan as often as I play far fewer things from Spotify, but yeah!

Robert Christgau, at the time, was no great fan of Browne. The Music Hound book lists this album as 2/5 stars. I'd rate the Music Hound books similarly. (Note: this isn't the FMU Hound)

Remember that these albums came out during the Vietnam War, and not so long after that most difficult year, 1968, so these things were on his mind...

Good morning jamesie...I'm sorry to say that I either don't know what you're referring to, or have forgotten, but I will look into it. However, not to defend anyone, but how many of our revered musicians, especially rock stars, took advantage of women?

Ambivalent about Jackson Browne but increasingly less so. His songs have more relevance now, even though several were written when he was very young.
