	3:34pm WM: @Yeti Bob: Kubrick commissioned Alex North to write the score for 2001 and then at the last moment decided not to use it. (North had previously written the score for Spartacus.) It's hard for any one composer to compete with the likes of Strauss, Liegeti, etc., but it's too bad North's contribution whet mostly unrecognized. And if I remember correctly, Kubrick originally did not pay Liegeti any royalties for the use of his music.

Got a "Ditmars" which is salami, provolone, and soprasetta on a fresh hero roll with tomato, lettuce, and mayo. HOLY CRUD it has been AGES since I had that much delicious salt, fat, and protein in one meal. It's a good thing that I ordered a double espresso while waiting for the peeps to make my sammy or I would need a nap now...

It's hard for any one composer to compete with the likes of Strauss, Liegeti, etc., but it's too bad North's contribution whet mostly unrecognized. And if I remember correctly, Kubrick originally did not pay Liegeti any royalties for the use of his music.
