@mb met a young DJ in NYC, Jamal Ali, he got his own show on EVR and it snow-balled from there. His friend Duane has an WFMU show now. Jamal is now music director at The Standard, so doing OK. Shame I'm 10,000 miles away.

We're all affected Dave. Smoke thick in the air, crops ruined, dead livestock. Early last year we had a massive flood that drowned half a million cattle, that's before the fires. We used to eat steaks like Texans, but too expensive now, no cattle. Scary shit, vibe here very bad for such a generally cheery nation. Hi! Re: old FMU schedules, you can find some of them by plugging various numbers between 05 and 44-ish into this address: www.wfmu.org...
But note there are some minor ahistorical quirks presumably due to the web coding, like if a show’s name changed later, you may see the newer name, not the historically accurate name.

mariano...the days move along. I tried to get him into Kessler, but he didn't make the cut. I've succumbed to the fact that he is staying where he is, and we're making the best of it. To that point, I am dedicated to truly doing just that, and I think I have him on board as well. I am very involved with everyone from aides to nurses to social workers up to regional directors. We're making it work. Tomorrow we are doing a jailbreak. I'm going to get him out of there for four hours or so...go home, take a shower at his own place, get a nice lunch, and whatever else comes to the minds of these two strapping young lads!
