Google translate of Comme à la Radio:

It will be quite
As on the radio

It will be nothing
Just music

It will be nothing
Just words of words
Words
As on the radio

It will not bother
It will not stop playing cards
It will not stop to sleep on the highway
It will not stop talking about money
It will be quite
As on the radio

It will be nothing
Just to make some noise
The silence is atrocious
Something is atrocious too
Between the two, it's the radio

Just a little noise
To fill the silence
Just a little noise
And nothing more
Just a little noise
Do not be afraid
It will be quite
As on the radio

At this minute
Thousands of cats
Will be crushed on the roads

At this minute
An alcoholic doctor
Will sweep over a girl's body
And he will say:
"She's not going to snap my fingers, you bitch"

At this minute
Five old women in a public garden
Begin the question of knowing
If he is minus twenty or five

At this minute
Thousands and thousands of people
Will think that life is horrible
And they will cry

At this minute
Two police officers will enter an ambulance
And they will throw in the river a young man
Injured to the head

At this minute
A drunk old lady will moan alone
On the top floor, under his bed
And will not be able to move

At this minute
A Spaniard will be happy
To have found work

It's cold in the world, it's cold
It's cold, it's cold
It's cold, it's cold
It's starting to be known
It's starting to be known

And there are fires
Who light up
In some places
Because it's too cold

Translator, translate

But do not be afraid
We know what radio is
The radio

He can not do anything
Nothing can matter
It's nothing
It was nothing
Just to make some noise
Just music
Just words, words, words, words
Words
Words, words

Words, words
Words, words
Words, words
Words, words

Just a little noise
Just a little noise
Just a little noise
As on the radio

Do not go
Do not go
Do not go

I like yerba too, I might experiment with it again but the matcha is nice because you can mix up as much or as little as you want. I miss black tea, used to sometimes have a pot a day. It was fun getting cranked and doing drawings but that wasn't sustainable.

@melinda How do you mask the unpleasant taste of kratom? I think about dissolving it in hot chocolate.

@burke I take it straight, just a 1/2 tsp. of powder. Seem to have a high tolerance for bitter herbs and supplements since I've had to try so many over the years. But if I were trying to mask it I think hot chocolate would be good.

Re Mrs Columbo: "Peter Falk expressed his disapproval of the spin-off, calling it a "bad idea" and "disgraceful" When Columbo returned to the air in 1989 on ABC, it was further established that Lt. Columbo and his wife Mrs. Columbo were still happily married and the existence of the series Mrs. Columbo was effectively ignored."

LA was hosting the Olympics in '84, including the first (in recent times, at least) Olympics Art Festival, many of the events of which took place at UCLA. I believe it was a performance at Royce Hall of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" (in Italian) by Piccolo Teatro della Città di Milano. I attended with a friend's father, a professor of theater and film history, who long ago acquired one of Falk's paintings. When he glimpsed Falk in the audience, he took me to him and introduced us.
  11:10am Dean:

The play, by the way, was stunningly beautiful.

The other cool thing about the theater professor is that he had in his wallet a photograph of the lead in another Piccolo Teatro performance, their signature commedia dell'arte work, taken decades earlier. As a result, we went backstage after the revival performance at UCLA to share the photograph with the actor, whom I also met.

Another other cool thing about the theater professor occurred when I was working with his son at a record store. Alternative TV's "Vibing Up the Senile Man" had just appeared, and we had a copy in the racks. Theater professor wandered in, spied the album, took it to the register, and proclaimed, "I'd like a dozen of these."

Died today: Moshé Mizrahi (Hebrew: משה מזרחי‎; 5 September 1931 – 3 August 2018) was an Israeli film director. His landmark film, Les Stances à Sophie, went practically unseen until it was re-released in 2008 and its jazz soundtrack album of the same name (but lacking the accent) was profiled in The FADER by Alexander Geoffrey Frank.
