i always had to laugh at how they would be 'performing' on the show and you hear strings and horn sections that are no where to be seen. television was a real suspension of disbelief.

"Lay it on the Line" -- my favorite Partridge Family track.... March 1972 -- I was up in the blue seats at Madison Square Garden at a riotous (of screaming 14-year-old girls) David Cassidy concert. Opening act = Tony Orlando and Dawn. My first time at a concert and my first time to MSG.

Call me crazy, but I actually kind of loved the covers album Danzig put out a couple years back. Some of it was just dumb hard rock covers, but the oldies he does are pretty great, and he opens with a couple of obscure biker movie themes which are legitimately fantastic.
