Morning all!

Trying to figure out the hidden message in this selection of GIFs. The station's financial situation in terms of cash on hand stinks, like fish. There's not quite a wolf at your door, but at least a small canine threatens to come thru it. You're unsure of the outcome, but try as you might, you can't flee it. It's for the birds. Give us a hand, or two, you say, but the sharks at e still circling. A kick in the head, yet you remain calm while the station burns. Some donors have taken the plunge, but it's like a couple cups full so far.

"Listener Steve" is in rehab just outside Phila. from his stroke. He can now walk & talk, though blind in his right eye, but according to his daughter, can't understand what people say to him, and has forgotten his life.

I asked him over the summer if he'd like a visit from you on your way back from the lake house, and he said no, but we should've arranged to surprise him. I'm thinking that in his current condition, maybe playing some material from "SUW" or Jim Marshall, or maybe even Nachum, could get some recognition from him.

Sometimes I've felt it's a little cheesy for a station like WFMU to solicit donations for what is, after all, our own amusement, rather than, say, taking care of blind orphans in Namibia. But then I think about the many people there must be like my friend for whom just a bit of entertainment might brighten their day, and I think, sure, why not solicit for a worthy endeavor like that?

@Asheville-he is the supposedly the greatest harmonica players in the world. I think they rock. Saw them in Nightingales which is a TINY bar in Manhattan about 16 feet wide with a stage occupying 4 feet of that. It was awesome!

So now people are divided in two camps: The Pro-Felders and the Anti-Felders. Each love to hate and undermine the other one.
