Hello. I've turned off the radio so I could listen with good headphones on the stream. It's off to a perfect start.

No old timey rock nostalgia, Berger hated that shit.......nothing but noise bliss for 3 hours.
  12:20am
Dean:

Actually, he didn't hate some kinds of old timey rock nostalgia. He was a big fan of early '70s Krautrock. I count that (by now) as old timey rock nostalgia.
  12:20am
Ike:

Love this!
Avatar 12:23am
Jherweg:

Well yeah thats's a given, I'm not talking about Kraut or old prog.. Im talking about turning on Fmu and hearing Jimmy Buffet.
  12:23am
rw:

Hello. Thanks JH. Glad to be here.
  12:24am
Ike:

When Wm. helped introduce audiences here to Krautrock in the 80s and 90s, it wasn't very old-timey. However, he *did* like a few things I'd call rock nostalgia, but that's just me....
  12:26am
Dean:

For sure. No Boston, no Buffet...is it fair to say no Zeppelin? But I don't think nostalgia, per se, was off limits. And why should it be?
  12:27am
Carmichael:

Heya fellow music nazis. WB was the man, and this is a nice noisy tribute. Great show.

No shame in liking ELP or the Allman Brothers either.

I'm mired in nostalgia. I think fondly of waiting for the next Grobschnitt album c.1975.

I can't imagine the pain of losing WB and having known him personally. His death was a blow to me, and I'm across the content, a mere listener. But the platitudes...let them be. They're all some of us have at the moment.

Wow, Jonathan! I have such a vivid image in my head right now, and laughing my ass off.

Yes to what Fox said!!! <3. Hi Fox! Silke here <3

Your description of Wm in the WFMU studio in his outfit and sweatpants :P, with the dangling cigarette and don’t-give-a-fuck attitude is perfect. I could visualize it as if I was there - in the moment - as you were describing the scene. Mr Herweg, you have a wonderful way with words... Wm also had a way with words (and word play)... so, birds of a feather... this is an excellent tribute... fucking hell, I miss him. so. goddamn. MUCH!!!
