Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from August 15, 2017 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

On tenor sax and synthesizer respectively, W-2 blur the lines of sound in an almost electroacoustic realm, making their instrumentation sound like anything but its traditional application. Their latest release is an LP on Astral Sounds entitled Fanatics. More here. UPDATE: You can now download this session free via the Free Music Archive.    2:00:05 (Pop-up)

I have a kick ass out the window story in about 1975 I was crammed in the back seat of a red Pinto with my sister and two brothers we all were between 8 and 12 years old the brothers mom was driving the piece of shit and my mom was riding shotgun the rear windows didn't roll and the passenger window was down about 5 inches the older brother found a bible in the back and started yelling at it and hitting it, he was freaking out then he began tearing pages out and holding them in the wind next to my moms face and letting them fly out. I was laughing and he was freaking out and everyone else was yelling for him to stop this was on 405 in Renton heading to Bellevue
