Redding played bass more like a guitar, which struck some people as more "musician-ly", whereas Billy played bass the way I used to (or tried to -- I never did get very good as a bassist, or as a guitarist).

(with a hammer, or other rocks. ...6,000,000 pounds of moon rocks.
