  9:29am 1whoknewcthulhu:

Thanks for Pink Floyd. Can't believe that Piper at the Gates of Dawn is a half-century old.

There's a great book called Random Precision about the Floyd's recording sessions during Syd's time.
  9:45am Stuart Rose:

The Pretty Things might have been a raw R'n'B band but they became a great psychedelic band- writing a lot of beautiful and wistful songs along with hard rocking psych.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:47am WilliamfromDumont:

I give You Are What You Eat a little more cred because it was made slightly earlier when the scene was "fresher".
Avatar 9:48am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

They were the best equivalent of Garage Rawk in the UK - but unlike some Garage posers - actually got access to psychedelics - harhar...
🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:48am tadpoles:

Syd wrote a song called "Birdie Hop". Every time I see a Robin in the Spring I think of Syd. "Birdie hop..he does.."

Think of him more than that though.
Avatar 9:48am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

SydBarrett was Alternative before there was even 'Classic'. Seriously.
