It's such a crazy movie! I really can't say enough about what a brilliant, twisted performance Laughton puts down. He reclines, heftily and very louche, on a gurney and proclaims his hubris and makes of it a greatest-of-all-time acting moment instead of another villain monologue (which it is, but still)
