david from ks.:

,,,I came across My late gal friend`s red Shriner hat with black tassel She got at a Kansas City MO. thrift store. in 1991. I forgot about it until I recognized the sword over the crescent and the 4 capital letters that spelled ISIS. Thinking back then that when she lost her composure after a few drinks she could become somewhat terroristic.

this music is reminiscent of gabriel roth.

annie:

a melancholy show this morning jeffrey, ...not that there's anything wrong with that.. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41am
Jeffrey Davison:

David, you reminded me of my late friend Joseph Curtin, a singular character if ever there was one, who had a fez, and who wore it well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51am
Sem Chumbo:

No doubt I am projecting congruences between your shows and where I sit and what I see while listening, but for the 22 Saturdays when I am not here but at a Farmers' Market and try to listen later to your show on the archives, it does not resonate in the same way. Perhaps it is because I listen facing sunrises and a tidal estuary and all life shaking off its slumber, with birds of all kinds on the wing, all with Shrunken Planet in my ears. Whatever alchemy it is, it transfigures the day. Thanks, Jeffrey, for the art of your show & the company you attract. See you, and all, next time.

You're a Writer Sem! - but we knew that! The right Raga for the right Time. efd is quoted as saying archives are like compilations...w/ talking. I never picked up the habit - tho' I listen to podcasts all the time when I go out the front door...
Mdm. Kasstan recalling BuffySt.Marie, a little? So much I'd have not the slightest clue about w/out FMU.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44am

That Kate Wolf song does have a Townes vibe.
Avatar 8:48am
